Escape to the Blue City : A 2-Day Tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen

We'll come to pick you up from your riad or hotel at 9:00 am in a private vehicle that is both comfortable and air-conditioned.

After exploring Tangier's main attractions such as Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, our first destination will be Asilah.

Asilah

Asilah is a charming coastal town in northern Morocco, known for its picturesque medina and beautiful beaches.

One of the highlights of Asilah is its well-preserved medina, a walled old town with narrow streets and whitewashed buildings adorned with colorful murals. Strolling through the medina, visitors can explore the bustling souks, admire the intricate architecture, and stop for a cup of mint tea at one of the many cafes.

Another must-see attraction in Asilah is the ramparts, a series of fortifications that encircle the town and offer sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Walking along the ramparts, visitors can see the town's white houses and blue shutters from a different perspective, and take in the beauty of the surrounding countryside.

Depart from Asilah and proceed towards Chefchaouen, located about 150 kilometers away.

Chefchaouen

We will spend a night in either a riad or a hotel in Chefchaouen.

The following day, our tour of Chefchaouen will commence after breakfast.

Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen is a charming town located in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco. It's known for its stunning blue-washed medina, beautiful natural surroundings, and laid-back atmosphere. The town's name, which means "look at the peaks" in Berber, is a nod to its location in the mountainous region of the country.

One of the main draws of Chefchaouen is its beautiful blue-washed medina, which is a photographer's dream. The blue buildings, narrow alleys, and colorful textiles create a unique and magical atmosphere that's unlike any other town in Morocco. Visitors can explore the medina's souks, visit the local handicraft shops, and try traditional Moroccan sweets like almond pastries and honeyed biscuits.

Another highlight of Chefchaouen is the Kasbah Museum, a 15th-century fortress that was once the residence of the town's governor. The museum houses a collection of local artifacts, including traditional clothing, jewelry, and pottery, and offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding mountains.

Finally, Chefchaouen is known for its delicious cuisine, particularly its lamb tagine and local goat cheese. Visitors can sample these and other Moroccan dishes at one of the town's many cafes and restaurants, or try a refreshing glass of Moroccan mint tea in one of the cozy rooftop cafes.

Tangier / Hotel

In the late afternoon, we will return to Tangier, where your driver will take you directly to your hotel/riad for drop-off.
