2 Days Itinerary

We'll come to pick you up from your riad or hotel at 9:00 am in a private vehicle that is both comfortable and air-conditioned.

Our first destination will be Azrou.

Azrou

Azrou is a town located in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco, known for its beautiful cedar forests, traditional Berber architecture, and local crafts. There are many interesting places to visit in Azrou and the surrounding areas, making it a popular destination for tourists.

One of the main attractions in Azrou is the Cedar Forest, which is home to Barbary macaques, the only type of monkey found in Africa. Visitors can hike through the forest, enjoy a picnic, or simply enjoy the scenic views.

The city center of Azrou is also worth exploring, with its traditional Berber architecture, colorful markets, and local cafes. Visitors can shop for local handicrafts, including carpets, pottery, and wood carvings, or sample traditional Moroccan dishes at one of the many restaurants.

Depart from Azrou and proceed towards Ifrane.

Ifrane

Ifrane is a beautiful city located in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. Known for its cool weather, stunning natural scenery, and unique architecture, it's a popular destination for tourists looking to explore the beauty of Morocco.

There are plenty of things to see and do in Ifrane. You can explore the stunning Ifrane National Park, go hiking in the nearby mountains, or visit the Al Akhawayn University, a beautiful university with a unique architectural style.

Midelt

Upon arrival in Midelt, a quaint town nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco, one can relish in its picturesque natural surroundings and convenient proximity to several highly-frequented tourist attractions in the area.

As part of our visit, we will make a stop at a local eatery to indulge in the delectable offerings of traditional Moroccan cuisine, such as tajine, couscous, and harira soup, all of which can be found at various dining establishments throughout Midelt.

Ziz valley / Errachidia

As you traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains and continue your journey southwards, you'll observe a striking contrast as the lush green mountainous terrain gradually gives way to arid desert landscapes. Nevertheless, the Ziz River flowing near Errachidia breathes vitality into what could have been a lifeless and barren environment.

Merzouga Desert

Upon your arrival in Merzouga, you will be greeted with a refreshing cup of tea before embarking on a serene camel ride to the desert camp nestled amidst the glistening golden dunes. Your lodging for the night will be a comfortable tent, where you can enjoy a delightful dinner under the twinkling stars.

Furthermore, the local camp team will treat you to live regional music, creating an unforgettable experience as you spend the night in the heart of the dunes.

Let's begin our journey by waking up early to witness the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. After that, we can take a camel ride back to the hotel for breakfast. Then, we can drive towards Rissani and eventually make our way back to Fez.

Rissani

Rissani is a town in southeastern Morocco, located in the Tafilalet region. It is situated on the edge of the Sahara Desert, and it is known for its historic significance as the capital of the Tafilalet region and the birthplace of the Alawite dynasty that currently rules Morocco.

Rissani has a rich cultural heritage, with many ancient ruins and historic sites that date back to the Almoravid and Almohad dynasties. One of the most famous attractions in Rissani is the ruins of the ancient city of Sijilmasa, which was once a major center of trade and commerce in North Africa.

Let us proceed with our journey back to Fez.

Midelt

We'll pause at one of the nearby restaurants with a scenic view to savor a lunch meal in a Berber village nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Fez / Hotel

Finally, we will arrive in Fez, the historic city, where your driver will take you directly to your hotel/riad for drop-off.
