A Journey Through Morocco : 5-Day Tour from Casablanca to Fez

Your journey begins in Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco. You'll embark on a tour of the city's top attractions, including the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the largest in the world.

Rabat

From there, you'll head to Rabat, the country's capital, where you'll visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Udayas.

You'll spend the night in Rabat.

On the second day, following breakfast, depart for Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains.

Chefchaouen

Upon arrival, explore the town's distinctive blue buildings and winding streets. Visit the Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square of the Medina, and the Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress that offers stunning views of the town and surrounding mountains.

After breakfast, we'll depart from our hotel and head to Volubilis, an ancient Roman city located near the city of Meknes in northern Morocco. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa.

Volubilis

Once we arrive at Volubilis, we'll explore the impressive Roman ruins, including the well-preserved mosaics, temples, and public buildings. We'll learn about the history of the city and how it was once a bustling center of trade and commerce.

One of the highlights of the visit is the Triumphal Arch, a grand entrance gate to the city that dates back to the 3rd century AD. It is one of the most impressive examples of Roman architecture in Morocco.

Meknes

Meknes is a beautiful city located in northern Morocco, known for its grand palaces, expansive squares, and impressive city walls.

Once we arrive in Meknes, we'll start our tour by visiting the grand Bab Mansour gate, which is considered one of the finest examples of Moroccan architecture. This grand entrance gate leads to the city's expansive main square, the Place el-Hedim, which is surrounded by cafes, shops, and local markets.

From there, we'll visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, which is the resting place of the powerful Moroccan sultan who built the city in the 17th century. The mausoleum is a beautiful example of Moroccan architecture and is adorned with intricate tilework and calligraphy.

Next, we'll head to the Dar Jamai Museum, a beautifully restored palace that showcases traditional Moroccan crafts and artwork. The museum's collection includes textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and other artifacts that offer a glimpse into Morocco's rich cultural heritage.

Fez / Hotel

Fez is a vibrant and historic city in Morocco that is known for its medieval architecture, bustling souks, and rich cultural heritage.

After breakfast, we'll start our tour by visiting the historic Old Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. We'll explore the winding alleys and narrow streets, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the bustling marketplaces and local shops.

We'll visit the famous Bou Inania Madrasa, which is a beautifully restored Islamic school that dates back to the 14th century The madrasa is adorned with intricate tilework and calligraphy and is a stunning example of Moroccan architecture.

Next, we'll head to the stunning Al-Attarine Madrasa, which is another beautiful Islamic school that dates back to the 14th century. The madrasa is famous for its intricate stucco carvings and tilework, which are some of the finest examples of Moroccan craftsmanship.

We'll also visit the historic Jewish Quarter, known as the Mellah, which is a vibrant and colorful neighborhood that offers a glimpse into the city's rich Jewish heritage.

After a break, we'll visit the famous tanneries of Fez, which are some of the oldest and largest in the world. We'll see how leather is traditionally processed and dyed using natural materials and enjoy stunning views of the city from the tannery rooftops.

In the afternoon, we can visit the beautiful Jardin Jnan Sbil, a tranquil and picturesque garden that is a perfect escape from the bustling city streets.

Finally, we'll end our tour with a visit to the imposing Royal Palace, which is located in the heart of the city. We'll see the grand gates, beautiful gardens, and ornate decorations that are a testament to the country's rich royal heritage.
