Tour from Fez to Marrakech via Desert 4 Days

Recommended Moroccan Tours offers four special days to discover Moroccan Desert with a camels trekking in order to live the experience of SAHARA in its glory. Accompanied by a driver-guide fluent in English, French or Spanish, in a very air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way we will make several stops to enjoy the villages and the landscapes. This tour is private, therefore there is no strict program, you can order to stop anywhere alongside the tour.

Day 1 : Azrou, Ifrane, Midelt, Ziz valley, Merzouga

“ PICK UP AT 7:00 AM FROM YOUR RIAD/HOTEL IN A CONFORTABLE-AIR-CONDITION PRIVATE VEHICLE ”

Stop at : Azrou

We will move to Azrou, an old Berber town with the largest cedar forest in Africa. Where you can enjoy your free time in the breezy forest to wander through the green forest.

Stop at : Ifrane

Then we will carry on to Ifrane that is considered as a magical mountain town and one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco which looks like little Switzerland.

Stop at : Midelt

Arriving to Midelt, a Berber village located in the middle Atlas mountain, we will stop in a local restaurant for lunch.

Ziz valley/Errachidia

Driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and driving further south you will dramatically start to notice the shifting change from green and mountainous to dry and desert. However, Ziz river near Errachidia brings life to what could have been inhabitant and dead.

Merzouga/Hotel

Upon arrival to hotel’s Merzouga, and after a welcoming tea, here you have a pool inside hotel.Then you will take a delicious dinner meal after that you can stay relaxing in your comfortable hotel.

Day 2 : Merzouga

Stop at : Merzouga / Desert

On the second day after breakfast in the Auberge, you will have a tour of the dunes by 4×4 allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocks of marble fossils, visit to khamlia village famous with black people and entertainment with their spiritual music of Gnawa.

Then you will have a break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. After lunch, you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located on the foot of the dunes. Continue to your hotel for relax and get ready for a camel trek for one hour to enjoy the sunset.

Day 3 : Rissani, Gorges Todra, Ouarzazate

Stop at : Rissani

We will drive through Rissani stopping to discover the culture of this town visiting Zawiya Moulay Ali Ash-Sharif established to honor Alawite dynasty founder.

Stop at : Gorges Todra

You will entertain with orange high cliffs of Todra Gorges and the green Oasis of Dades Valley. The charming valley is a beautiful treasure perfectly hidden between the very high cliffs. Afterward, you will take a break for lunch in local restaurant.

Stop at : Ouarzazate

Move towards Ouarzazate, through Kelaa M’gouna or the valley of Roses, Morocco’s most romantic town. We will cross the Berber village of Skoura, finally arrive in Ouarzazate in the late evening. Spend the third day in a lovely Guesthouse in Ouarzazate.

Day 4 : Kasbah Taourirt, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakech

Stop at : Kasbah Taourirt

Taourirt is one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco. In past, it was a strategic location controlled by the Glaoui for the Saharan Caravan Route to West Africa.

Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou

Next, leave Ouarzazate, the golden Gate of the Sahara towards Ait Benhaddou, the largest Kasbah in Africa. This beautiful Kasbah is a fortified Ksar (Royal Palace) with impressive buildings and spectacular mud houses.

Stop at : Marrakech

Then, cross the high Atlas Mountains through the winding passes of Tizi N Tichka, admiring the captivating Mountains views and the refreshing breeze. The last stop would be The Red Marrakech. It is where we will drop you off at your hotel.
